MEDIATION
In some of our cases, a non-traditional approach to litigation may be appropriate and desired by the clients to preserve family relationships and avoid acrimony.
The lawyers at Grund & Leavitt have training and experience in mediation, lawyer-assisted mediation, and collaborative law; approaches which have grown in popularity in recent years. However, not every case is suitable for these approaches. Each case must be carefully screened and evaluated by our legal team to determine whether such alternative approaches would be advisable or in a client’s best interests, given the dynamics of the parties’ relationship, their personalities and level of trust in each other, the issues in dispute and the degree of transparency in their financial dealings.
Our legal team works with each client to determine the best approach to their case. We can explain each of these approaches and their benefits and disadvantages in each given situation.
