Alyssa Mogul

Ms. Mogul is a Partner with Grund & Leavitt. She has concentrated her practice in the field of family and matrimonial law, with a special emphasis in litigation.
Ms. Mogul received her Juris Doctor, with honors, from the Chicago–Kent College of Law in 1998 with a certificate from the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution program. Ms. Mogul actively taught trial advocacy at leading law schools in Chicago and has been invited to participate in the University of Chicago Law School’s trial practice course as a speaker and instructor. Ms. Mogul has also served as an assistant coach to Loyola University Chicago Law School’s Philip Corboy Trial Advocacy teams which have received national recognition in competitions over the last several years. Ms. Mogul is a frequent speaker at professional seminars including those offered by the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education.
Ms. Mogul, alongside partners Jody M. Yazici and David Grund, authored the Illinois Practice of Family Law. The book is currently in its 22nd edition and was published in March of 2023. The Illinois Practice of Family Law is the most widely used family law text by practitioners, judges, and law students in Illinois.
