Laura M. Presto is a Partner with Grund & Leavitt. She joined Grund & Leavitt P.C. as an associate attorney in May 2010, after spending 3 years at another family law firm in Chicago.

Ms. Presto received her Juris Doctor in 2007 from the John Marshall Law School. She was an active participant in the Moot Court program, competing on two teams focused on family law and juvenile law. As an Octofinalist in the family law competition, Ms. Presto’s team was also honored with a 2nd place award for Best Brief. Ms. Presto completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning a B.A. in both history and political science.

Ms. Presto has been active in volunteer activities in her community. In law school she served as the founder and President of the newly reorganized Children and Family Law Society. She also served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for two years in the Cook County Juvenile Court where she advocated for children in the Abuse and Neglect Division.

Ms. Presto currently sits on the Young Professional Board of Rainbows, an international, nonprofit organization that fosters emotional healing for children grieving a loss or life-altering crisis, including divorce. As a member of the board, Ms. Presto also chairs the Family Law Committee, whose goal is to bring awareness of the program and its many benefits to those in the Domestic Relations Division, from clients to colleagues.
