John Radosevich

Mr. Radosevich is a Partner with the firm of Grund & Leavitt. In December, 2004, he retired from the judiciary in Lake County, Illinois where he served as an Associate Judge since 1986.

During his judicial career, Mr. Radosevich served in almost all divisions of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit, including Traffic, DUI, Bond Court, Misdemeanors, Arbitration, Law under and over $50,000, Chancery, Probate, Juvenile, and Family Court. He has conducted numerous hearings and trials, both at the bench and before juries. He was consistently rated among the top judges in Lake County according to polls conducted of lawyers appearing before him.

While assigned to the Law, Chancery, and Family courts, Mr. Radosevich developed a forte in settlement skills and became adept at the art of settling even multiparty cases, such as Mechanics Lien Foreclosures. He has written opinions in relation to many areas of matrimonial law as a trial court Judge, and enjoys a high rate of affirmance at the appellate level.

Before becoming a judge, Mr. Radosevich had a successful private practice as an Associate and Partner in the Lake County law firm of Lonchar, Nordigian, and Radosevich from 1975–1986, and served as an Assistant State’s Attorney before that. Mr. Radosevich has been licensed in Illinois as an attorney since 1971. He has participated as a lecturer in matrimonial issues at programs sponsored by Lilac Tree Women in Transition, Inc.

In addition to the representation of clients, Mr. Radosevich provides both mediation and arbitration services, not only in the matrimonial area, but also in the areas of commercial, construction, personal injury, and chancery law.
